Grass is one of the trickier stains to tackle. A grass stain usually appears after vigorous activity, such as sliding, kneeling or any way grass could be rubbed into the fabric. Below are ways to remove grass stains from various materials.
Removing Grass Stains From Denim
While denim is a hearty fabric, it can also make it difficult for stain removal. Wet the spot thoroughly to soften up the denim. Apply a small amount of detergent or spot treater. We recommend Biz Stain & Odor Eliminator. Made with enzymes, Biz is great at breaking down organic stains, even as tough as grass. If you feel the stain is extra set in you can scrub it with a toothbrush or soft-bristled scrub brush. Then wash your jeans according to the tag instructions. If the stain isn’t completely removed repeat all of the steps. Hang to dry.
Removing Grass Stains From Cotton
Cotton is used in a lot of everyday clothing items. To remove a stain from cotton start by soaking the spot in warm water. Then apply a spot treatment such as Biz. Gently dab the stain with a clean cloth. Wash the garments with an enzyme detergent such as Biz Powder. Enzymes are great at breaking down organic stains such as grass. Repeat steps until the stain is gone then dry according to garment instructions.
Removing Grass Stains From Sneakers
While white shoes are great for a summer look, they sure get dirty fast. To tackle stains on sneakers start by wiping down the shoe with a damp cloth to remove as much as possible.
